Common questions.
How does the free trial work?
14 days of the Team plan, every feature unlocked, no credit card. We send a reminder 3 days out and never auto-charge — you decide if and when to upgrade.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. You can sign up, invite your team, and run the full trial with email only.
What counts as a seat?
Anyone who tracks time or is approved as a manager. Pure spectators (e.g. a stakeholder watching a dashboard) don't count.
Can I switch plans mid-cycle?
Yes. Upgrading prorates immediately. Downgrading takes effect at the next renewal — we don't charge for what you don't use.
How does billing work for contractors and part-timers?
Each tracked-time identity is a seat. If a contractor works one day a month, you can pause their seat between engagements and reactivate when they're back.
Is there a discount for non-profits, education, or startups?
Yes — 30% off for registered non-profits and accredited schools, and a 6-month free Team plan for early-stage startups (under 10 people, less than 18 months old).
How does activity capture work — what do you actually record?
Active-window titles, input cadence counters, and optionally URLs from the active tab. Screenshots are blurred by default. You control what is captured per project, per person, and per device.
Where is my data stored? Can I get EU-only residency?
Primary US-East. EU-only residency is available on Business and Enterprise — your team's data never leaves Frankfurt.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You retain export access for 90 days, then we permanently delete (or hand back) everything. We never use customer data to train anything.
Do you offer SSO, SCIM, DPA, custom contracts?
SSO and SCIM on Business. DPA available on all paid plans. Custom contracts, security review support, and on-prem options on Enterprise.
