What Huble collects, including desktop activity and cookies, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Huble is operated by Devntech LLC. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Huble website (gethuble.com), web app (app.gethuble.com) and desktop app, why, and the choices you have. We use a small number of service providers to run Huble; they are listed on our Sub-processors page.

What we collect

Account data: your name, email address and workspace.
Work data: time entries, projects and tasks you or your team create.
Desktop activity, while the timer is running and depending on your organisation's settings: the names of the apps you use, window titles, the domains of websites you visit (for example example.com, not the full address), counts of keystrokes and mouse clicks, idle time, and periodic screenshots, which your organisation can choose to blur.
Payments: Paddle is our merchant of record and handles all payments. Paddle collects your payment details under its own privacy policy (paddle.com/legal/privacy) and shares your name, email, address and purchase history with us. We never see your full card number.
Technical data: browser, operating system and error reports.
Website visitors: cookies, described below.

What we never collect

What you type (we count keystrokes, never their content), clipboard contents, the content of files you open, and the full address or page content of websites you visit.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. We use them on gethuble.com and app.gethuble.com. Some are needed for the service to work. The rest run only if you agree.

Necessary (always on)

Huble sign-in cookies keep you signed in and protect your account. Set by Huble.
cookieyes-consent remembers your cookie choice. Set by CookieYes. Lasts about 1 year.
hb_consent shares your cookie choice from gethuble.com with the Huble app (app.gethuble.com), so you only choose once. Set by Huble. Lasts about 1 year.

Support chat

Crisp lets you message our team from the website and the app, and keeps your conversation. Set by Crisp. Lasts up to 6 months.

Analytics (only if you click Accept)

Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_JWR5T04NZQ), loaded through Google Tag Manager, counts visits and shows which pages are used and where visitors came from, such as a search result or an ad. Set by Google. Lasts up to 2 years. Google processes this data for us, and we keep the reports for 14 months.
Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk), loaded through Google Tag Manager, records how visitors use gethuble.com and the sign-up and sign-in pages, for visitors who come from our website of the Huble app (app.gethuble.com): the pages visited, clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, so we can see where the website or sign-up is unclear. Text you type and personal details shown on the sign-up and sign-in pages, such as your email address, are hidden before anything is sent, and Clarity never runs on the Huble app’s product screens. Set by Microsoft. _clck lasts 1 year and _clsk 1 day. Microsoft processes this data for us; we keep recordings for 30 days (up to 13 months for ones we save) and heatmaps for 13 months.

Advertising and attribution (only if you click Accept)

hb_attr remembers which campaign or website brought you to Huble, so we can tell which of our campaigns lead to sign-ups. It stores the campaign tags in the link you followed (such as the campaign name), any ad click identifier added by the ad platform (Google, Microsoft, Meta, LinkedIn or TikTok), the website that linked to us (its address without any query string), the page you landed on and when. If you create a workspace, this information is saved with it, but only if you accepted advertising cookies on gethuble.com. Lasts 90 days.
_gcl_aw the Google Ads click identifier from the ad link, so Google can match sign-ups to ad clicks. Set by Google. Lasts 90 days.

We don't show you ads based on your activity on our sites. We use Google Ads to measure our campaigns. When you arrive from a Google ad and accept advertising cookies, we record the ad click identifier. When that visit leads to a sign-up, activation or payment, we send Google Ads the click identifier, the time and the value, so we can see which ads work. We don't share your name or email with Google.

Your choices

When you first visit, a banner asks you to accept or reject optional cookies. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and nothing optional runs until you choose.
The banner appears on gethuble.com, and your choice there also applies to the Huble app (app.gethuble.com), so you are only asked once. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page on gethuble.com, the "Cookie preferences" link in the Huble app, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
We keep a record of what you chose and when, to show that we asked.

Where your data is stored

Huble's servers and database are in the United States. Files such as desktop screenshots are stored in Finland. Both are hosted by Hetzner. Some of our other service providers may process data in other countries; they are listed on our Sub-processors page.

Your rights

To get a copy of your data, correct it or have it deleted, email privacy@gethuble.com. If your account belongs to an organisation's workspace, we may need to involve that organisation, because it controls the workspace data.
