Reports
The reports your CFO asks for, on Monday.
Utilization, billables, capacity, project margin — pre-built reports that match how finance teams plan, with a custom report builder for everything else.
What it does
The anatomy of reports.
- 1Pre-built reports
Utilization, billables, capacity, margin, time-to-invoice. Tuned for agencies and consultancies.
- 2Filters + drill-downs
Filter by person, project, client, date, billable. Click any cell to drill to the time entries.
- 3Custom builder
Drag-drop dimensions and metrics. Save as a board; share via permalink.
- 4Scheduled exports
CSV / XLSX to email or S3 on a schedule. Power-BI / Tableau via API.
Jobs to be done
Workflows we obsess over.
Calculate utilization without spreadsheets
Billable / available, weighted by FTE, per person and per team. The default formula matches what your auditor expects.
Track project profitability live
Project margin updates every time a timer stops. Don't wait for invoicing to find out you under-priced.
Email finance the weekly numbers
Schedule a Monday-9am CSV to your finance team. They open it before you've finished the coffee — no extract-script required.
Under the hood
For the technical buyer.
- Reports run against an OLAP-style snapshot of the time-entry stream.
- Custom dimensions can pull from tags, project metadata, or person fields.
- Per-workspace caching — fresh on every approval, never stale for >5 min.
- API: every saved report has a JSON endpoint with the same query.
- Permissions: row-level filters enforce 'see only your team' if RBAC is on.
GET /api/v1/reports/utilization-q2-2026?format=csv # pre-aggregated, deterministic, paginated for >50k rows.
“I used to spend two days a month rebuilding the same utilization spreadsheet. Now I open Huble for thirty seconds.”
FAQ
Common questions.
Can I build reports our QuickBooks accountant will accept?
Yes — every report can be exported as a labeled CSV that matches QuickBooks' import format. The Huble + QuickBooks integration also pushes billable hours directly as invoice lines.
Can I see what an individual was working on?
Yes if you have the right RBAC. Self-only view by default; team-level view for managers; full view for workspace owners. All access is audit-logged.
What time-zones do reports use?
The workspace's default time zone for cross-team rollups, the viewer's local time for personal reports. Both are configurable per saved report.
